Hi all!!
It's been over a year since my last post. In that time I've finished college, shaved my head, started university and moved away from home.
I passed college with the grades Merit, Merit, Pass. This equates to two B grades and a C grade. The way BTEC courses are graded they have five grades:
- Distinction* (D*) - which is an A* or A+ - what ever you want to call it
- Distinction (D) - which is an A grade
- Merit (M) - which is a B grade
- Pass (P) - which is a C grade
- Fail - which is exactly what it says on the label.
In my last post I mentioned a fundraiser for Keech Cottage Hospice. I did a bake sale and shaved my head that November.
Initially I wanted to be a vet, but I didn't get the grades I needed. So I'm studying to be a vet nurse. I did 3 weeks work experience in two different practices. The experience was AMAZING!!! I'll be posting my diary from the 3 weeks experience on my other blog (http://trainingforvetship.blogspot.co.uk/).
The course so far is amazing, I absolutely love it. I've made loads of friends too.
Moving out to be closer to university was stressful. Very, very stressful. But surprisingly I'm managing OK! I'm living with my landlady, her husband and their Jack Russell Terrier (called Rocky). My landlady and her husband take good care of me, making sure I'm coping well.
Three weeks ago I hit a bump in the road. I started a course of anti anxiety tablets which were all side affect and no help. I had mood swings (apparently making one of my friends think I have Bipolar Disorder, thankfully I don't), abdominal cramps, memory loss, abnormal dreams, anxiety attacks (that were worse and more frequent than is normal for me) and quite a few other side affects.
I have since been take off the tablets and I'm visiting the doctor on the 19th to try something different.
I'll be trying to update more frequently from now on!!
